Physical Education Teacher

Capitol West Academy, a National school of Character, chartered through UWM, grades K4–8, is seeking a dynamic, innovative professional teacher to fill the physical education position effective immediately. A Bachelor’s degree with teaching certification in physical education is required. Candidate must have a valid DPI teaching license. Strong proactive skills in managing a classroom and a broad knowledge base in several content areas are required. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The physical education teacher instructs elementary aged students in sporting skills and health/wellness topics. The physical education teacher assesses and monitors students’ levels of physical fitness. The physical education teacher also collaborates with other classroom teachers on integrated, thematic units. The physical education teacher coordinates after school recreational sports and secures coaches.
