I am very happy to be back at Capitol West Academy for the second year. I taught third grade last year and am very excited to be teaching fourth grade this year. I graduated from Bradley University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a concentration in mathematics.
My goal as a teacher is to provide each student with the best opportunity for academic success as well as personal growth. I set my expectations high and enjoy watching my students meet them each day. I also believe that, for a student to have success in the classroom, the parent/s, student and teacher must form a team. I am open to any and all forms of communication and encourage parents to visit and participate in classroom activities and field trips. Together we can provide a great learning experience for your child.
Classroom news
We have 20 students in our classroom this year. We have already started working hard in all subject areas. Students are encouraged to read a minimum of 20 minutes each night. They are also encouraged to practice their multiplication facts. We are off to a great year!
