I’m in my third year of teaching at Capitol West Academy. I received my teaching certification from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and also have a journalism degree from the University of Minnesota.
I’m originally from Door County but have lived in Milwaukee for the past five years. When I’m not planning lessons or working with students, I enjoy being outside, cheering on the Brewers and Packers, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Classroom news
I am excited to be starting the new year with a great class of third graders. Welcome to those students who are new to our school this year! It’s also great to see so many familiar faces from the past few years.
We have a lot to look forward to this year, including learning cursive and multiplication, improving our reading and writing as well as working on many fun projects. We will also be taking some field trips, including one on Sept. 28 to First Stage Children’s Theatre to see Seussical the Musical.
