Sarah Castleberry

I have been teaching for three years. I am a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University as well as a communications graduate from University of Wisconsin-Madison. When I’m not working in the classroom, I enjoy reading, sewing, baking, and most importantly, travel.

To all you parents, thank you for allowing me the privilege of working with your child this year. As we become partners in your child’s life for this school year, let’s work as a team to make this one of the best experiences ever. Together, we can help your child develop a genuine love of learning and a strong educational foundation for the years to come.

Classroom news

I’m pleased to share that our 3rd grade class has been hard at work. We just finished up a classroom mission statement and individual mission statements. We will be starting a new science unit on scientific method next week as well as beginning Daily 5 Reading and Writer’s Workshop.

Nightly Homework

Each night your students will be expected to read for 10 minutes. They should record it in their reading log at the back of their Passport. They also need to write in their writing journals, and on most nights will have math homework. I hope each student will remember to complete this so they can make it to a Green Passport.
